- INTRODUCTION
We believe that when you visit the GPI website (the "Site"), your personal and account information deserve protection. This Privacy Policy has been prepared to let you know what we can, and cannot do, with your personal and account information, and to ensure that you understand our commitment to providing you with a secure and worry-free experience.
At all times, it is your decision as to whether you wish to use the Site and provide us with information about yourself.
- COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
You may visit the Site without registering or directly providing any personal information. However, to sign up with GPI, you will need to register and provide personal information including, but not limited to, your name, E-mail, country, province/state of residence and password. All information you provide is collected privately by GPI.
- USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION BY GPI
Your personal information is used by GPI to access the golf scoring and handicap system. In other instances, such as when sending GPI an email message or providing us with feedback, we may require that you provide additional personal information. Your individual information will also enable us, if necessary, to notify you of any change to our services
GPI may use personal and account information and data collected, including scores and courses played, to improve the service and to generate aggregate statistics and reports for internal use. Any use of aggregate information will not include any of your personal information or any other information that would identify individual users of the Site.
- PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION BY GPI
When you visit the Site and provide any personal information, the information is processed and stored on secure servers in Canada and the USA. Upon termination of your participation at GPI, all relevant user information will be securely deleted from GPI's database within three (3) months of the change of status.
- DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Non-aggregated personal or account information will not be sold, rented or made available to anyone other than GPI without express permission to do so.
GPI reserves the right to co-operate with law enforcement and other officials in any investigation requiring either personal or account information, including any information provided online through the Site, or reports about lawful or unlawful user activities on the Site. GPI also reserves the right at any time to disclose any personal and account information: (i) to comply with any applicable law or regulation; (ii) if such disclosure is necessary or appropriate to Site operation; or (iii) to protect the rights or property of GPI and its users, partners, providers, licensors or merchants.
